My client, which provides world-class powering solutions, seeks a Software Engineer 3 for its team in Pittsburgh, PA. This person will primarily be responsible for application software development as part of a small team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software for web-oriented status monitoring system(s)
- Develop client-side user-interfaces with HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, AJAX and Angular 2/4 or similar frameworks
- Develop server-side Java back-end web services
- Develop SQL queries for Oracle database using JDBC and Hibernate
- Develop report generation capability and reports built around Oracle/Hibernate database structure
- Maintain and develop source code control system (CVS), build system and installers using InstallAnywhere
- Establish and maintain engineering documentation for release and sustainment of products
- Work with System Test group for new product testing
- Resolve bugs and other technical software issues
- Provide interface between engineering groups, co-developers, applications, technical publications, manufacturing, marketing, sales and the customer
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Provide support for more senior level engineers in the engineering team as required
- Assist with development and implementation of detailed engineering specifications/ validation test plans
Requirements and Skills:
Education: Bachelor Degree in BSCS, BSCE, BSEE or equivalent military training
Experience: 4 – 6 years in field of related firmware/software design experience
- Ability to speak/read/write English
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Work well under pressure
- Available weekends and after hours when on call
